Women

Women make up more than half of Canada’s population, yet less than half are represented in the labour force, and few are represented in leadership positions. Women face complex barriers preventing their participation in the Canadian workforce and are disproportionately impacted by inflexible training policies and practices that do not recognize their realities of under-employment and precarious employment, caretaking responsibilities, and other barriers. SRDC is committed to advancing gender equality, particularly for women, girls, and non-binary individuals. Using Gender-Based Analysis and intersectional approaches, we conduct research and evaluation to help maximize the ability of women to contribute and benefit fully from Canada’s economic, social, and cultural resources.
