SRDC-QICSS Symposium, Ottawa: May 12

SRDC and the Quebec Inter-University Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS) invite you to participate in the symposium Des statistiques sociales aux politiques publiques : le défi des données probantes (From social statistics to public policy: The challenge of evidence-based policy). The symposium will take place in French as part of the 77th congress of the Association francophone pour le savoir (Acfas) at the University of Ottawa on May 12, 2009.

The object of the symposium is to show the importance of social statistics as a source of evidence for public policy and to determine the challenges in producing and using this evidence.

The symposium is organized with the support of the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la société et la culture and the Population Change and Lifecourse Strategic Knowledge Cluster of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
